Meet Our Newly Appointed SSA on Grassroots Sports Development
We are pleased to introduce Mr. Adebanji Adeoye Atewogboye (MCPA), also known as SKIBANJ, as our newly appointed Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Grassroots Sports Development to the Governor of Lagos State.
Biography
SKIBANJ is a renowned philanthropist and entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to the development of grassroots sports in Lagos State. He is the CEO of SKIBANJ Group, SKIBANJ Academy & FC Lagos, SKIBANJ Events, and SKIBANJ Foundation.
Education
SKIBANJ holds a Professional Diploma in Logistics Management from the American Institute of Supply & Transport, USA. He also holds a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Application Systems from Blessed Cosmopolitan College, United Kingdom (UK). Additionally, he has received several honorary awards, including a Doctor of Science, Honoris Causa ((link unavailable) HONS) from St. Louis African University, Republic of Benin. He’s a Fellow Member of Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILGPAN).
Achievements
SKIBANJ has received numerous awards for his contributions to grassroots sports development and philanthropy, including:
– CREEKVIBES Stamp of Excellence Awards as Best Young Grassroots Philanthropist of The Year 2022
– Golden Role Model Youth Ambassador Award, Nigeria Youth Advocacy for Good Governance Initiative (NY AGGI)
– Community Role Model Award, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC)
– Politician of the Year Award, Echo Newspaper Community Awards
– Sport Pillar Award, Football Coaches Council Association
Humanitarian Services
SKIBANJ has demonstrated a strong commitment to humanitarian services, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and community development. Some of his notable projects include:
– Providing financial assistance to 200 teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic
– Supporting over 5,000 households with food and other essentials during the COVID-19 pandemic
– Constructing speed breakers and crossing ladders in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area
– Facilitating scholarship for 20 residents and students in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area
– Providing free GCE/UTME forms to over 1,000 students in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area
Political Participation
SKIBANJ has been actively involved in politics, serving in various capacities, including:
– Member, APC Committee on Monitoring and Evaluation of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government during 2019 General Election
– Secretary, Footsoldiers Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat Lagos Independent Campaign Group (ICG) in 2019
– Coordinator, Tinubu Support Organization (TSO), Oshodi-Isolo Local Government in 2021
– APC Presidential Primary Election Committee Member, Subcommittee on Protocol, Abuja in 2022
Personal Life
SKIBANJ is happily married with four kids and is fluent in Yoruba, English, Azerbaijan, Italian languages. His hobbies include reading, sports, traveling, music, and picture-taking.
