
Gov Sanwo-Olu’s Aide, SKIBANJ Joins Dignitaries to Commence 2024 Cycling Lagos Competition
In a flamboyant 3rd edition of the 2024 Cycling Lagos competition today, the Special Assistant to Governor on Grassroots Sports Development, Mr. Adebanji Atewogboye kicked off the event which started from Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos through the bridge along Alh. Marshal Road and back to the stadium.
Despite the drizzling of rain during cycling race, Mr. Atewogboye led other dignitaries and pedaled his bicycle to appreciate and encourage the talented young men and women at the event.
He revealed that Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration through the Lagos State Sport Commission is to ensure that good platform is provided to athletes in the state to succeed.
“The event is fantastic for the participated young athletes and our focus is to see how we can partner and get talented athletes that are available at the grassroots to appreciate and promote them. We appreciated the organizer, the Cycling Lagos”, the Senior Aide, SKIBANJ revealed.
On the main objective of the event, Mr. Bamidele Adeleye, the organizer along side the Coordinator, Mr. Micheal Efengbe, said that the competition is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle among cycling enthusiasts, corporate executives among others in the state.
Among the winners in different categories in the event were Master Odebiyi Iqmat, 10, clinched the first position, the runner up was Aminu Olamiposi, 10 while Kale jaiye Victoria was the second runner.
