In a bid to promote grassroots sports development and foster unity among youths, the highly anticipated Owoseni Nation League was launched yesterday in Oshodi. This innovative project, spearheaded by the CEOs of the community, aims to engage the youths during the summer holiday and provide a platform for community engagement.

The two-month-long event, held at Owoseni Primary School, commenced with a thrilling match between Nigeria (SKIBANJ) and Holland (Team CY), setting the tone for an exciting journey ahead.

This landmark initiative is made possible by the collective efforts of eight renowned philanthropists in Oshodi, namely SKIBANJ, JOGO, OLOKE, CY, ALAYO, ATOBA, SAMUEL, OLU, and IJB. The event is expertly packaged and organized by Coach Duru, Akeem, Bala, and Hammed Heskey.

In alignment with Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s theme plus agenda, the tournament embodies the spirit of grassroots sports development, promoting unity, social interaction, and community engagement. As the event unfolds, we anticipate inspiring stories of athletes, community bonding, and a renewed passion for sportsmanship.
